Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Placebo-Life services provided by R-DEV Limited ("Placebo-Life", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our website, apps, and related services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Placebo-Life account. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Service Description
Placebo-Life is a behavioral and habit-support platform that provides logging, scheduling, cue-based routines, and recommendation features. Recommendations are guidance only and are never mandatory instructions.
3. Important Non-Medical Disclaimer
Placebo-Life is not a medical provider and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical advice. It is not a substitute for professional medical care. If you have medical concerns, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
4. Account and Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or platform restrictions.
- Use Placebo-Life with prohibited substances or in unsafe ways.
- Interfere with service operations or other users.
6. Purchases, Wallet, and Virtual Credits
Placebo-Life may include virtual wallet balances and virtual coin credits used within the service. Purchases may be processed via Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, and RevenueCat-backed flows. Wallet balances are non-cash, non-transferable, and have no cash redemption value unless required by law.
7. Billing and Refunds
Payments and refunds are generally handled by the storefront or payment processor through which you made your purchase. Apple App Store and Google Play purchases are subject to their own billing and refund terms. Web purchases are subject to processor terms where applicable.
8. Intellectual Property
Placebo-Life, including software, branding, content, and design, is owned by or licensed to R-DEV Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
9. User Content and Feedback
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as notes or feedback). You grant us a license to host, process, and use that content to operate, secure, and improve the service.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk to the platform, or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time.
11. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, R-DEV Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless R-DEV Limited from claims, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You agree that disputes will be subject to the courts of New Zealand, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updates are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
